Schedule Events
As the name implies, "Schedule Events" involves settings intervals, dates, and times for events (if necessary), as in studies that run for months and even years. The effects of animation study goes on for only two days. ProtoGenie provides a feature that allows supervisors to close the protocol at any time and re-open it any time exactly where it left off. Supervisors might close the protocol between the times that they are actually taking a measurement or administering a treatment -- or they might leave the computer on and the protocol open during the day and shut it down on the evening of the first day.
In this study, the pretest is administered after the opening arguments of the first day and that is all that needs to be input that day unless there are "comments" regarding unusual or unanticipated events. The animation treatment is administered to the treatment group the following day in the early afternoon and the posttest is administered at the conclusion of the trial in day two.
A simple advisory screen after the last protocol event of the first day and an End screen after the last protocol event of the second day is all that is necessary. These advisory screens are simple Guidance Events and are made the same way as earlier instances.
