Create Sampling Instructions Event
The first Guidance Event we need for this study contains instructions for creating a sample. To create this event, click on the Make & Edit Events tab. Click on the Create menu in the Event Specification Table, select "Support" and then "Guidance." Give this event the name "Sampling Instructions."
Scroll down to the Instrument Construction Area under the heading "Sampling Instructions." In the text box, enter:
"Prepare and submit application for Human Subject Assurances to an authorized human subjects committee.
Real jurors who had been summoned for duty in a jury trial but did not get seated will be used as subject jurors. Get permission from the courts to access lists of those jurors.
Construct sampling list. Randomly select a pool of potential subject jurors and personal contact them and screen them for suitability and availability. Get their informed consent to participate.
Set up case records for each subject that has agreed to participate. Randomly assign subjects to treatment and control."
