"The criminal trial in this experiment is simulated in a "mock jury trial" in which a defendant has been charged with murder in the first degree.  This simulated jury trial was planned and implemented by the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona, Tucson, under the direction of Professor William Boyd.  The research requirements for this simulated Jury trial are provided by the principle investigator.

The requirements for the video tape containing the computer animated depiction of the crime that will be presented as the "treatment" in this study were provided by the principle investigator.  The tape will be produced by Multimedia Video, Inc.  See mock trial specs at http://. mock.com and animation specs at http://.tapespecs.com."
