Make Posttest Measurement 3

There are two ways to make a permanent first posttest measurement (see second from the last (M) row 1 above).  The first way is to repeat the same procedures for making the pretest measurements, which used the Create menu at the top left of the Event Specification Table.  Since the posttest measurement is essentially identical to the pretest except for descriptive information, the second way is to duplicate the pretest measure and edit it to fit the posttest.

For the second method, select "Pretest 1 Guilt" in the Event Specification Table.  Click on the Edit menu immediately to the right of the Create menu at the top of the Event Specification Table.  Select Duplicate.

Now there should be five events (rows) in the Event Specification Table.   In the first column for this row, there should be an "M" in a circle indicating that this event is a Measurement.  To its right and under Event Type it should say "Multiple Choice."  Under Event Label, it should say "Copy of Pretest 1 Guilt."  Change this to "Posttest 3 Guilt."

In the column labeled Variable, enter "Posttest3GuiltInnocence" (all one word).  Keywords can remain the same. In the column labeled Event Description, slightly change the description to "This event asks juror subjects whether they think the defendant is guilty or innocent AFTER the treatment."

Scroll down to the Instrument Construction Area which should have the heading Posttest 3 Guilt.  Nothing needs to be change in this area.
