Make Question 2 (continued)
Scroll down to the Instrument Construction Area under the heading "Position Taxes Given Party Cues."
In the box labeled "Number of check boxes to Show to respondent," set the number to "2" (for "Support" and "Oppose."). Immediately below this, set the "Number of responses the respondent is allowed to check" to "1."
In the text box, enter:
"The Republican Party has put into law a plan to cut taxes. Experts agree that the plan has a 75 percent chance of creating many new jobs this year. But Democrats point out that even if the plan works, it will greatly increase the national debt and thus hurt future generations.
Do you support or oppose the tax cut?"
Immediately below the question, there are two boxes for responses. In the first field, type the word "SUPPORT." In the second field, type the word "OPPOSE." Click on SAVE.
