Edit Protocol Page

The Edit Protocol page contains three tabs beginning on the left with the tab called Make & Edit Groups. The second tab is Make & Edit Events and the third tab is Sequencing.  Groups and events are made under the first two tabs and the names are sequenced under the third tab.

You should be looking under the Make & Edit Groups tab.  Since there will always be at least one panel in a survey, the blank protocol defaults to one "Unspecified Startup Panel," which appears in the first row of the Make & Edit Groups Table.   Subsequently, we will define this group to make it the Treatment Group.

Now look under the Make & Edit Events tab.  Note that there is one "Unspecified Startup Event" in the Event Specification Table because a blank protocol automatically starts with one event."  We will define this event to be a welcome page.

Now, look under the Sequencing tab. On the left side of the screen is a window called Event Names.  Because the Blank protocol starts with one group, it will appear in the Event Names Window.

To the right of the Event Names Window is a window called "Execution List." This window contains the event name automatically created in a Blank Protocol.  Looking ahead, after you have created all of the events for your study, they will be listed in the Event Names Window.  Your last step is to enter a sequence of event names selected from this list into the Execution List Window under a selected group in the order in which they will be executed.

To create this sequence, select an event name from the Event Names List.  Select the panel in the Execution List Window where it will go (the only one in this case), and click on the right arrow labeled Insert Event Name.  You will repeat this process for each event name to appear in the Execution List.
